Working with Norwegians

Our main courses related to working in Norway are:

Description of these courses:

Working with Norwegians

The course will give you a practical insight of what is expected in Norway – in a business and social setting.  Our courses are based on the little known fact that the Norwegian business and corporate culture have important elements that are seldom found in other cultures, and the Norwegian way of doing business may cause confusion and frustration for persons from other cultures. Most Norwegians are not aware of this situation and they will therefore not think of explaining the cultural differences and stating their expectations clearly enough to their foreign colleagues.

The cultural training gives a systematic presentation of what is special about the Norwegian culture. The participants learn what they should be aware of, as well as simple techniques for how to achieve better results in their cooperation with Norwegians. The course has practical exercises where the cultural differences will typically come to the surface – for reflection and discussion in the group before specific tips are given on to how things can be done in a different way to achieve better results.

The course fee includes an electronic copy of the course material and free support after the course  where the participants may contact us for advice about cultural issues they have in Norway.

The duration and content of this cultural training can be tailored for each customer, but below is a suggested content.

Feedback

Attending “Working with Norwegians" was the single best thing I did since I moved to Norway. The whole course was one series of "lightbulb moments" one after another explaining things I had missed, misunderstood and otherwise just didn't 'get.'
